Kim T.R. Carter
Kim Carter has extensive experience in business management and is a Certified Hedge Fund Specialist.
In 1977 he owned and operated a vertically integrated company in the United Kingdom, QRT Ltd. selling it to Hansons PLC in 1989 and relocating to Bermuda. Since 1989, he has concentrated on running his own investment portfolio, including alternative investments and real estate investments in England, Continental Europe, North America, Cayman Islands and the Republic of Panama.
Mr. Carter was Director of Carter & Carter Ltd; Salt Kettle Publishing Ltd; Chairman/Director of Macquarie Capital Alliance International Limited; Director of Macquarie MCG International Limited. Both Macquarie companies were successfully taken private, with an acquisition value totalling more than $800 million and $6 billion respectively. Current directorships include: Tribley Asset Management Ltd; Rock Consulting & Marketing Ltd; Triton Renewable Energy Limited; and Roslyn Opportunity Fund Ltd.
Mr. Carter was Chairman of international squash tournaments: Bermuda Open 2004, PSA Masters 2005, PSA Masters 2006, and World Open 2007. The World Open was televised to an estimated record audience of over 3 billion television viewers and the signing of the latter three tournaments produced for Bermuda the largest PSA contract in the history of the sport.
Additionally, Mr. Carter has worked loyally with several charities over the past two decades and is Chairman/Founder of the Kathmandu Kids Club, a division of The ISIS Foundation, a registered charity in Bermuda, supporting children in serious need in Nepal and Uganda.
