Mr. Tribley began his financial career in 1987 as a currency trader at the Bank of Bermuda and in 1990 at the Bank of Montreal in Toronto, returning to the Bank of Bermuda, where he became the chief foreign exchange dealer in 1994.
In 1997 Mr. Tribley became head of the Treasury Asset Management group at the Bank of Bermuda. In this role, he had global responsibility for trading and portfolio management of the $4 billion bond portfolio and the relationship management of external portfolio managers hired to manage treasury assets.
Mr. Tribley was promoted to Treasurer, Americas in 2000, where he took on responsibility for all of the remaining global treasury assets, including private equities, mutual funds, CDOs, and the $4 billion treasury cash portfolio. These portfolios represented approximately 80% of the bank’s total global assets. Additionally, he became responsible for management of the Bermuda foreign exchange operation, with over $120 billion in client volume traded per year.
Mr. Tribley graduated from Acadia University in Nova Scotia with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and received his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1993.
Mr. Tribley is Managing Director of Tribley Asset Management Ltd. and has held this position since founding the company in 2004.
